"Iron Man 2" (May 7): The first major sequel of the summer movie season comes with "Iron Man 2." Robert Downey Jr. is back to play billionaire playboy/superhero Tony Stark who must pursue a love interest and battle multiple villains. There is no reason why this can't be as good or better than the first installment. Mickey Rourke, Don Cheadle and Scarlett Johansson are all new cast members, which should elevate the material. This franchise will remain a hit as long as it has the ever-charming and likable Downey at the helm.

"Toy Story 3" (June 18): Pixar can do no wrong, and this will be their yearly hit. It's been a long time since the second "Toy Story," and all of the regulars are back. Since both previous "Toy Story" films fared well, this third installment may end up being Pixar's most successful film. Look for youngsters and adults to take part in the summer fun.

"Inception" (July 16): Want to know why you haven't heard of Batman since "The Dark Knight"? It's because director Chris Nolan has been making this sci-fi mindbender. Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page and many others star in what looks to be a trippy and brainy action flick. Written by Nolan himself, "Inception" has kept itself in the dark about its plot. Only the teaser trailer revealed bits and pieces of the probable euphoria viewers may have after seeing this film.

"Shutter Island" (Feb. 19): Legendary director Martin Scorsese takes a much anticipated U-turn in his career as he directs a prison thriller based upon the novel of the same name by Dennis Lehane. The film has been delayed for some time, but early word points to a box office success. Leonardo DiCaprio, Scorsese's recent muse, heads the all-star cast.

"Alice in Wonderland" (March 5): If you saw "Avatar," you more than likely saw the trailer for the upcoming "Alice in Wonderland." Johnny Depp stars as the Mad Hatter, in what looks to be one of his loopiest roles. Tim Burton, who has directed Depp many times, will bring a new vision to this fantasy story, which will also be shown in 3-D come March.
