YSU professor appears on TV Show "Clash of the Gods"

After the success of the book "Myth & Knowing: An Introduction to World Mythology," author and Youngstown State University English professor Dr. Scott Leonard gained the interest of the producers behind the History Channel's televised show "Clash of the Gods.

SGA introduces final draft of student tax at meeting

On Monday, the Student Government Association introduced the final draft of a proposal that would add an SGA tax to student tuition. The proposal states that a "one dollar per credit hour, up to full time enrollment," fee would be assessed during the fall and spring semesters.

Penguins win special teams battle
The fans of Youngstown State football were treated to an above average day for November with the temperature at game time in the 60's and sunny skies. The fans were also treated to a strong Penguin performance to send the seniors out on Senior Day as the Penguins came back from a halftime deficit to win the game 30-18.

Pavlik to fight at Beeghly Center

The wait for Kelly Pavlik to get back in the ring has come to an end. Pavlik's trainer Jack Loew said Pavlik will be back in the ring Dec. 19. Pavlik will fight Miguel Espino at Beeghly Center on the campus of Youngstown State University. Pavlik fought against Marco Antonio Rubio earlier this year at the Covelli Centre in downtown Youngstown, successfully defending his title with a ninth round technical knockout on Feb.

Campus restrooms evaluated for safety, cleanliness
Missing the Target
The Jambar recently inspected restrooms on campus for water temperature, cleanliness and overall appearance. With the use of thermometers, the water temperatures in several restrooms were checked. The presence and condition of restroom supplies, such as toilet paper and soap, was also noted.
